Sphere 3D ( NASDAQ: ANY ) mined 35.6 bitcoins ( BTC-USD ) in April, just shy of the 37.3 produced in the prior month and up from 12.3 a year before, it said Tuesday. During the month, the company used around 41.3 BTC to fund working capital and prepay hosting deposits of its S19J Pro mining machines. It deployed 4,400 miners it received in January to Rebel Mining's Missouri site for energization. 3,900 of them were hashing as of May 1 and the remaining 500 will be in the coming weeks. "We are well on our way to have 1.5EH/s online by the end of 2Q23," said Sphere 3D CEO Patricia Trompeter. As of April 30, ANY operated some 4,330 S19J Pros delivering a production capacity of approximately 446 petahashes per second.
