Bitfarms says mined 379 BTC in April, sold 349

Bitfarms ( NASDAQ: BITF ) said Monday it mined 379 new bitcoins in April this year compared to 405 bitcoins for the same period last year. The company sold 349 BTC in April, compared to 394 BTC in March, and just 2 BTC for the same period last year. On an average, the company mined 12.6 BTC daily, equivalent to about $369,180 per day and about $11.1 million for the month. “For April 2023, we were cash flow positive from operations after scheduled interest and principal payments. Reflecting improved mining economics, as in March, we sold less BTC than we produced, which resulted in a net addition of 30 BTC to treasury in April, bringing the total at month end to 465 Bitcoin,” CEO Geoff Murphy said in a statement. Year-to-date, the company has mined 1,676 BTC so far in 2023. April 2023 operating capacity was 196MW vs 137MW last year.
