Bank Closures Prompted Further FOIA Requests By The Blockchain Association

The Blockchain Association (BA), a cryptocurrency advocacy group, has sent two regulators additional Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for information on crypto-friendly banks that have closed recently. The Association, in addition to the FOIA requests, had also made Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests to the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) and the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). Following the takeover of Signature Bank and the failure of Silvergate Bank, the organization is looking for additional information regarding the de-banking of crypto companies.
