Core Scientific bitcoin production falls 10.8% M/M in February

Core Scientific ( OTCPK:CORZQ ) said Wednesday it produced 1.36K bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) in February through its self-mining operations, down 10.8% from January. The cryptocurrency miner operated ~213K owned and colocated bitcoin miners as of February-end, representing total potential hash rate of 22.3 EH/s. It operated ~161K bitcoin miners, accounting for ~76% of its total number of rigs and representing total potential self-mining hash rate of 16.7 EH/s. Core Scientific ( OTCPK:CORZQ ) provided data center colocation services for ~52K customer-owned miners, representing ~24% of the miners operating in its data centers. Customer-owned miners produced ~403 BTC for the month. Data center operations were powered down on several occasions, with curtailments in February totaling ~6.6K MWh. Earlier, Core Scientific ( OTCPK:CORZQ ) bitcoin production grew 6% M/M in January .
